A global financial services company was relocating its central London office to a larger, four-floor office space and required a redesigned workspace that aligned with its upscale, executive, and professional brand identity. The design needed to reflect the high-end elegance of its international headquarters, ensuring consistency across locations.
We had been working with this client since 2011 providing furniture consultancy and procurement, space planning and internal move management for their current space. Key considerations for this project were needing to source fabrics and finishes from the U.S. to match their HQ, as well as needing to integrate furniture that had been acquired from the current tenant. These items also required careful storage and reinstallation during the fit-out phases.
With over 200 employees to relocate, ensuring a seamless transition was essential. This was further complicated by the fact that the entire planning phase took place remotely during the 2020 lockdown, with project completion in 2021.
Leveraging our longstanding relationship with the client, we delivered a full-service design, furniture and relocation solution, ensuring a high-spec, cohesive, and professional workspace.
Bespoke Design: We worked closely with the projects architect and the client’s HQ team to create a high-end design that coordinated with their international offices. We shipped fabrics and finishes from the U.S. and treated them to meet UK fire regulations and designed bespoke workwall solutions that were tailored to the exact dimensions of their private office spaces to match their HQ.
Furniture Reuse: We conducted a full furniture audit to determine which existing pieces could be reused and also brought in a furniture restoration specialist to refurbish and repair the existing meeting table tops to maintain the premium aesthetic.
Move Management: We coordinated the IT decomm/recomm for over 200 employees from their previous office as well as moving and installing their exisitng furniture. We also planned and managed the removal, storage and reinstallion of open-plan desking that was procured from the previous tenant, ensuring a smooth transition during the building fit-out phase.
Remote Planning: Despite the challenges of lockdown restrictions in 2020, we successfully coordinated all design, procurement, and project planning via video calls, ensuring a successful installation in 2021.
We continue to support this client on new international projects, reinforcing their high-end brand identity with tailored furniture solutions and seamless office transitions.
