A beautiful blend of design, sustainability, and reuse — here’s how we helped furnish Thames & Hudson’s new space.
We were delighted to support the recent Thames & Hudson office relocation into the former Gagosian Gallery at Kings Cross. The architect and design team, Marsh Keene Architects & Virtus, created an open-plan space with a mezzanine to enhance collaboration opportunities and support communication across the business.
Virtus brought us into the project for our expertise in quality used furniture. The client had shown interest in the Narbutas NOVA Wood range, so to match their design aspirations, we used refurbished Narbutas desking: a quality used U steel frame with a white top, upgraded with brand new wooden end legs to complement the timber railings running through the office. We also supplied quality used Herman Miller task chairs.
To enhance the client experience, we built a full mock-up of the desking and chair setup within the space, allowing the team to trial the completed furniture in context before finalising their decision.
This project is a great example of how thoughtful reuse can support both design intent and sustainability goals.
