We’re pleased to share our latest EcoVadis sustainability rating, marking another step forward in our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
EcoVadis is a globally recognised provider of business sustainability ratings, assessing organisations across Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Its methodology is used by thousands of companies worldwide to benchmark and improve sustainability performance.
While we have maintained our Silver rating, the progress behind this year’s result tells a far more meaningful story.
Since our first assessment in 2021, we have increased our score year-on-year from 54/100 (Bronze) to 79/100 today. This 25-point improvement reflects a consistent and deliberate effort to embed sustainability into every part of our business.
Our Strongest Global Ranking to Date
This year, Broadbase has been ranked higher than or equal to 94% of all businesses assessed by EcoVadis, our highest percentile ranking to date.
This places us firmly within the top 6% of all organisations globally, reflecting not only our internal progress, but our position within an increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving sustainability landscape.
Where Our Performance Is Strongest
Our approach has always focused on practical, measurable change, and this is reflected in our strongest category scores:
• 95/100 in Environment
• 87/100 in Sustainable Procurement
These results reinforce the areas where we are driving the greatest impact, not just in strategy, but in day-to-day delivery.
Putting Sustainability into Practice
Sustainability at Broadbase is not a standalone initiative, it’s embedded into how we design, specify and deliver projects.
Over the past year, this has included:
• Introducing furniture reuse and asset retention earlier in client conversations as awareness and demand continue to grow
• Continuing to specify quality used and refurbished furniture to reduce demand for new materials.
• Strengthening our supply chain engagement, working with partners who align with our environmental and ethical standards
• Supporting clients in making circular design decisions, considering longevity, adaptability and end-of-life from the outset
• Continuing to improve our own operations, from waste reduction in our office and projects to more responsible day-to-day business practices
These actions sit at the core of our approach and are central to the progress reflected in our score.
More Than a Certification
Sustainability certifications can, at times, be seen as box-ticking exercises. For us, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Certifications provide us with a clear framework for improvement and challenge us to go further, identify gaps, and make better decisions as a business.
It influences not only how we support our clients, but also how we operate internally, from procurement choices to the everyday running of our office.
Focused on Progress
EcoVadis continues to evolve, with more organisations improving and the assessment criteria becoming increasingly rigorous. In this context, maintaining momentum is key. While we remain at Silver, we are now closer than ever to achieving Gold.
More importantly, we are building a business grounded in continuous improvement and a genuine commitment to doing better.
