Totnes Books was moving from a small office space within their warehouse to a brand-new unit, giving them the opportunity to create a more comfortable and ergonomic working environment. Having previously supplied them with ergonomic task chairs, we were eager to assist in designing a space that supported health, wellbeing, and collaboration.
A key requirement was a large social space where the entire team could sit together for lunch each day, alongside an office setup that prioritised comfort, flexibility, and productivity. The client wanted a vibrant design that incorporated height-adjustable desks and acoustic solutions to enhance both aesthetics and functionality.
We developed the full design scheme for their new office, ensuring it met their needs for both ergonomics and social interaction.
Ergonomic Workspace: The office was equipped with height-adjustable desks, allowing each team member to tailor their workspace for comfort and movement throughout the day.
Acoustics: Acoustic wall tiles were installed to not only improve sound quality but also add a bold design element to the space.
Dedicated Social Space: A large canteen space was designed to accommodate the entire team for daily lunches, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
Vibrant & Functional Design: The overall scheme balanced bright, uplifting colours with practical and agile workspace solutions, ensuring a comfortable and inspiring environment.
Delivery & Installation: The project was completed over a two-day, in-hours installation, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
By combining thoughtful design with ergonomic and acoustic solutions, we delivered a vibrant and practical workspace that supports both productivity and team culture.
From the very initial design stages when all we had was a list of “needs” for the business, Stephen listened to all of our requirements and designed the perfect space for us.
